Bosnian skier achieves best national results at world championship in Italy

By finishing 16th at the world ski championship at Cortini d'Ampezzo in the women's Alpine Combined discipline, Elvedina Muzaferija achieved the best result in the history of Bosnian skiing at international competitions.

Muzaferija was 2.69 seconds behind the then leader Federica Brignone after the super-giant slalom, while in the end, she was 8.99 seconds behind the winner Mikaela Shiffrin.

The gold medal in the Alpine Combined in the women's competition was won by the American Mikaela Shiffrin, while the silver went to the Slovak Petra Vlhova.

The slalom race was marked by a large number of dropouts, and apart from Brignona, Wendy Holdener, Marie-Michele Gagnon and Valerie Grenier failed to finish the second run. A total of 14 skiers did not finish the second run in Cortini, while four skiers dropped out in the first run.
