According to the CBBiH, the current core inflation estimate is 63 basis points (bp) higher than the figure provided in the December round of rapid assessments. The institution clarified that this adjustment is primarily the result of changes in the weighting of sub-categories utilized in the core inflation calculation.

Despite this adjustment, official statistical data indicates that inflationary pressures within the price categories used to calculate core inflation have weakened slightly on a year-on-year basis as of January 2026.

The CBBiH further noted that the annual levels of both core inflation and services sector inflation recorded in the first month of 2026 do not show significant deviations from the levels observed throughout the entirety of 2025.
