The Committee for the Coordination of the Implementation of the Vaccination Plan against Covid-19 in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity decided to continue the vaccination with the AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD vaccine, Fena news agency said late Thursday evening.

The decision was made after the Security Committee of the European Medicines Agency considered the information on reported cases of thromboembolism recorded in several EU countries after the vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine and confirmed that the benefits of the vaccine used to fight Covid-19 (which itself results in clotting that can be fatal) outweigh the risk of rare side effects many times over.

The FBiH entity reported no serious side-effects after administrating the AstraZeneca vaccine.
