The House of Peoples of Bosnia's Federation entity passed on Thursday with no vote against a decision on restricted use and control of tobacco products in closed public places and catering establishments.
A total of 40 members of the Federation's House of Peoples voted in favour, while seven abstained from the voting. There were no votes against the decision.
The prohibition was previously endorsed by the House of Representatives.
The law regulation was initially prepared in 2017 but the House of Representatives adopted it in May 2021. Now that the House of Peoples adopted it alongside several amendments, the law will have to pass the House of Representatives again for harmonisation.
The law will come into force a year after it is published in the Official Gazette.
