Bosnia's Foreign Minister visits Montenegro

Bosnia’s Foreign Minister is on an official visit to Montenegro, where he met with President Milo Djukanovic, Wednesday night, who expressed his satisfaction that Konakovic came to his country, emphasizing that such a quick visit is a confirmation of good mutual relations.

He congratulated the Bosnian Minister on his new position and wished that his work in this area would contribute to the international affirmation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Montenegrin President added that he considers the bilateral relations to be good and friendly. He highlighted the signed agreement on the border between Montenegro and Bosnia while also pointing out the necessity of improving the mutual transport infrastructure, which would improve tourism, trade and economic cooperation, which is the most important opportunity for the further development of bilateral relations.

Montenegro is unreservedly on the side of the territorial sovereignty and integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina in compliance with the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Djukanovic also congratulated Bosnia on the EU candidate status saying that the EU and NATO are the only way forward.

Konakovic thanked for the welcome and said that by visiting the countries of the region, including Montenegro, he wanted to show Bosnia's priorities through actions.
