Bosnian State Parliament's lower chamber on Friday adopted changes to the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which were sent to the procedure by the opposition SDA party.
A total of 26 members of the House of Representatives voted in favour of the proposal and nine voted against the law in an urgent procedure.
The changes refer to the integrity of the election process i.e. the introducing of technologies that would significantly reduce the malversation in the vote, manipulations and frauds.
International peace envoy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, recently set an ultimatum for the parliamentarians to amend the electoral legislations, otherwise he would impose the law changes.
To become valid, the law changes now need to pass the House of Peoples.
