Bosnia's Mesud Pezer wins silver in shot put

Pezer finished second with a shot of 20.51 meters behind Polish competitor Michal Haratyk, who won first place with a shot of 20.79 meters, thrown in the 3rd series. Pezer, on the other hand, showed that he has a stable form because only his first shot went below the 20-meter mark - 19.78 meters.

Pezer achieved lengths of 20.29, 20.22, 20.28 and 20.35 meters at the Thursday evening competition.

The third place went to Romanian Andrei Rares Toader whose shot was 20.35 meters long.
