Bosnia's best female MTB rider Lejla Njemcevic, is again the first female MTB rider in the world with 1,340 points.

After registering 140 more points in Spain at the UCI SHC race, a competition under the supervision of the world governing body for sports cycling – the International Cycling Union, the Bosnian competitor took first place ahead of French Estelle Morel with 1,218 points, followed by the Lithuanian Katarina Sosna with 1,189 points.

Last season, Njemcevic spent 21 weeks at the top of the world cycling marathon ranking list, and is now entering the new season as the first-ranked athlete.

The next race for Lejla Njemcevic is the UCI C1 race in Italy scheduled for the end of the month.
