The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an indictment against Radislav Krstic, born in 1948, for his role in wartime atrocities near Sokolac. Krstic, a citizen of both BiH and Serbia, is currently serving a 35-year sentence in Estonia, handed down by the ICTY for aiding and abetting the Srebrenice genocide.

The new charges allege that on 21–22 September 1992, as commander of the 2nd Romanija Motorized Brigade, Krstic participated in a joint criminal enterprise targeting the Bosniak village of Novoseoci. Prosecutors state that after separating women and children, 44 men aged 14 to 77 were transported to the Ivan Polje landfill and executed.

The village mosque was subsequently destroyed, with its debris dumped atop the victims. Krstic is charged with planning, ordering, and concealing these crimes against humanity. Despite multiple requests for early release, the Hague tribunal continues to deny his petitions.
