The CEO of the University Clinical Centre in Banja LukaVlado Djajic confirmed for N1 Wednesday that this hospital would begin vaccinating patients against Covid-19 with the Russian Sputnik V vaccine on Friday, at 11 a.m.
“I'll be the first one to be inoculated if need be, just to show that these vaccines are safe,” Djajic told N1.
Earlier, the Republika Srpska (RS) entity Health Minister Alen Seranic confirmed that the vaccination would start “any day now,” by the end of the week.
A total of 2,000 doses of Sputnik V arrived in the RS and 100,000 more are expected to come by mid-February.
Entity authorities signed a pre-agreement with Chinese vaccine suppliers, as well as Pfizer, in coordination with the Bosnian state government.
