Nenad Nesic, the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was arrested on Thursday by the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska (MUP RS) under orders from the BiH Prosecutor’s Office. The arrest is linked to a corruption scandal stemming from Nesic’s tenure as director of the entity-owned company "Putevi RS."
Nesic was taken into custody at the Police Administration in Istocno Sarajevo. Authorities are also preparing to detain other individuals implicated in the same investigation.
Initially, Nesic was not reachable by law enforcement and judicial bodies. However, he later communicated his intent to voluntarily appear for questioning.

The Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that six people have been apprehended in connection with the case. Alongside Nesic, those detained include Milan Dakic, the director of PE “Putevi RS,” and Mladen Lucic.
