Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested an individual in the Sarajevo area based on an international arrest warrant issued at the request of Interpol in Serbia.
The international warrant was issued by the NCB Interpol of the Republic of Serbia, to apprehend the individual and extradite them to Serbia for prosecution over illegal crossing of the state border and attempted human smuggling.
SIPA officers, operational team "Fast", located the mentioned individual in the Sarajevo area, apprehended them and took them to SIPA premises.
The arrestee was handed over to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the legal term for further proceedings, SIPA announced.
