The operation focuses on searching residential properties and movable assets owned or used by the suspected individuals at three locations, as well as on the temporary seizure of evidence relevant to the investigation of criminal offenses, including organized crime, international human trafficking, and money laundering under the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It also concerns the offense of human trafficking as defined by both the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska, according to SIPA’s statement.

The searches are being conducted under the order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Ministries of Interior of Republika Srpska, Sarajevo Canton, and Zenica-Doboj Canton.

“In the course of gathering information and evidence, cooperation has been established with the Republic of Serbia’s Service for Combating Organized Crime (SBPOK). Support has also been provided by the Southeast European Law Enforcement Center (SELEC). Additionally, close collaboration has been maintained with the non-governmental organization ‘Vasa Prava BiH’ to collect information over the previous period. These activities have been carried out with the support of the EU4FAST project, aimed at strengthening the fight against migrant smuggling and human trafficking in the Western Balkans,” the statement said.
