Bosnia's Social Democratic Party (SDP), People and Justice Party (NIP) and Our Party (NS) condemn Republika Srpska (RS) entity President Milorad Dodik’s public denial of the Srebrenica genocide on Tuesday by saying that he crossed the line of legal action for the first time after the amendments to the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina entered into force.

“We call on the competent authorities to strictly adhere to the Law in this and all similar cases and to prosecute such acts without exception. The genocide in Srebrenica is a historical and legal fact and its denial is an act of destabilization of the situation in BiH,” the Troika said in a joint statement.

They called on Milorad Dodik to “dedicate himself to solving the accumulated welfare issues of RS residents” and to “not complicate the work” of his staff at the state level with his statements.

“The ‘Troika’ will not agree to the populist game of competition in quasi-patriotism, but we will also never remain silent on insults to victims and the denial of legal facts. The state of Bosnia and Herzegovina must take care of the existential issues of its citizens, and we must all work together to ensure a better life for generations to come,” the Troika said.
