The President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lidija Bradara, welcomed the EU Ambassador to BiH and Special Representative, Luigi Soreca, during his inaugural visit today.
President Bradara extended her best wishes to Ambassador Soreca for a successful mandate, stressing the importance of continued collaboration between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union. Their discussions focused on key issues including European integration, economic growth, the implementation of investment projects, and the fight against corruption, reaffirming shared priorities.
Ambassador Soreca expressed his gratitude for the meeting, acknowledging the current political landscape and the significance of the upcoming elections. He emphasized that political reforms and compromises are essential for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s progress towards European integration, highlighting the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans as a key opportunity for economic development.
President Bradara highlighted the Federation’s efforts to maintain peace and stability, noting recent progress in social and governmental functions, along with the successful continuation of important projects. She also emphasized the critical role of local communities in advancing state development and praised the European Council's decision to begin accession talks with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ambassador Soreca voiced optimism about Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European future, reaffirming the EU’s strong support for necessary reforms. President Bradara thanked him for his visit and support, expressing confidence that cooperation with the EU will continue to bring positive outcomes, according to the Office of the President of FBiH.
