The decision follows a formal tariff review and a public hearing conducted in Brčko on December 18, 2025. This adjustment was prompted by an 11% surge in electricity procurement costs after a new contract was signed with the public power utility “Elektroprivreda BiH.”
Impact on households and businesses
Based on the DERK ruling, the average sale price of electricity will see a 6.80% increase compared to the 2025 average. Households will be the most affected, with rates set to rise by 7.06%. Meanwhile, customers in the 0.4 kV category, labeled as "other consumption," can expect a projected increase of 5.61%.
Despite the rising costs, “Komunalno Brcko” maintains that it remains committed to providing a reliable and uninterrupted power supply to all end users in the region.
