The Catholic charity Caritas Croatia raised €170,000 between 4 and 8 October for flood-affected people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Croatian Bishops’ Conference donated €100,000 from its emergency fund, while the remaining €70,000 was donated by citizens. Caritas Croatia said in a press release on Tuesday it had received 15,000 calls through its fundraising helpline.

Caritas Croatia has sent the donation to Caritas Bosnia and Herzegovina to distribute it to the affected communities as soon as possible.
