Central arrest warrant issued against Dodik, Stevandic, Viskovic
A central arrest warrant has been issued for President of BiH’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Milorad Dodik, Speaker of the National Assembly of RS, Nenad Stevandic, and Prime Minister of RS, Radovan Viskovic. A central arrest warrant means that any police officer in the country who spots them is obliged to detain them.

The announcement of the warrant for the three was an expected development after Dodik, Stevandic, and Viskovic refused to respond to summonses from the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina for questioning as suspects in the case of undermining the country’s constitutional order.
Following this, arrest warrants were issued but were not executed, leading the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to order pretrial detention for the trio as soon as they are apprehended. Ultimately, as part of standard procedure, a central warrant was issued, and conditions exist for the possible issuance of an international arrest warrant.
Besides the obligation for any officer who spots them to detain them, the central warrant also means that Dodik, Stevandic, and Viskovic are prohibited from leaving Bosnia and Herzegovina.
However, it is already known that Stevandic has not returned from Belgrade, where he arrived on Saturday during a large student protest, raising questions about what will happen next.
Meanwhile, Dodik plans to travel to Russia on March 18, but it remains uncertain whether and how this trip will take place. It is known that he frequently travels by helicopter, which could facilitate his departure from Bosnia and Herzegovina, though this may prove difficult.
