Bosnia and Herzegovina already paid for vaccines against COVID-19 for 20 percent of its population, the Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers (CoE), Zoran Tegeltija, said on Tuesday.
“We have been in contact with Brussels, ie the EU, since the first day regarding the procurement of vaccines and all medical supplies and medicines related to COVID-19,” Tegeltija said at a press conference following a Council of Ministers session.
He said that the government would earmark the funds for procuring vaccines for some 50 to 60 percent of the population.
“We will see how many vaccines we will get through this system with the European Commission, and BiH will procure the rest for its citizens from its own budget,” he said.
