The system of electronic tolling on highways in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) entity and Croatian highways should be integrated, so that drivers in both countries can use a unique tag device, Croatian and FBiH officials agreed during a meeting earlier in the week.
Representatives of the FBiH Highways and Croatian Highways (HAC) held a meeting on the subject in Zagreb at the beginning of this week, where cooperation between these two companies was proposed, which will enable the use of a single tag device, both in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that is, in the FBiH entity, as well and in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, FBiH Highways announced on Friday.
They pointed out that both parties expressed a great willingness to cooperate with the aim of connecting electronic toll collection and facilitating travel for users, both on the highway in BiH and vice versa.
It was added that some conceptual solutions have already been presented and that a new meeting is expected next month, where an agreement should be signed that will define future joint cooperation.
The FBiH Highways public enterprise recalled that they are intensively working on the implementation of linking electronic toll collection in BiH with the Republika Srpska (RS) entity Highways enterprise.
