The process of organized return of migrants from Croatia to the Lipa Migrant Center near Bihac, in the northwest of Bosnia, continued on Monday. Members of the Service for Foreigners Affairs and the BiH Border Police unofficially escorted some 70 people in buses from the Izacic Border Crossing to the Lipa location.

Last week, over 200 migrants were returned from the Republic of Croatia to the Lipa centre in the same organized manner.

Bihac residents, the representatives of the city and cantonal authorities are voicing their discontent ever more loudly due to the lack of any official and more extensive information about this process.

During one of last week's transports of migrants, the Foreigners Affairs Service convoy escorted by the BiH Border Police was stopped by members of the Una-Sana Canton Interior Ministry (MUP USK).

“During that stop, our members received information that Croatian Police brought a group of 93 migrants at the Izacic Border Crossing, who, in accordance with the Agreement on the Readmission of Migrants, were transferred to our country, i.e. the area of our canton,” the spokesperson of the Unsko Police, Bahrudin Dzelalagic, said.

After that, the Una-Sana Canton Prime Minister, Mustafa Ruznic, said that he is still waiting for an official response as to what is going on and why hundreds of migrants are returning to Bihac in an organized manner.

Unofficially, this process of returning migrants from the Republic of Croatia to the Lipa Migrant Centre will continue in the coming days.
