Croatia’s representative to the UN, Hrvoje Curic Hrvatinic, said that his country shares concerns over the “political” crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina and called for restraint from rhetoric that leads to division.

He stated that the responsibility lies with local actors to take the lead in ensuring stability in the country.
The Croatian representative joined Russia, China, and Serbia in criticizing High Representative Christian Schmidt, concluding that Schmidt did not have a “balanced” perspective regarding the Croatian community, which he described as the most vulnerable in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“That’s why electoral reform must be treated as the highest priority,” he concluded.
