Zeljka Cvijanovic, a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, voiced strong disapproval over the visit of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti to the country, particularly his reception at the Presidency building.
Cvijanovic accused her fellow Presidency members, Zeljko Komsic and Denis Becirovic, of misusing the institution to host what she termed a private visit by Kurti.
She further stated that none of the Presidency's official services were informed about or involved in organizing the visit.
“Bosnia and Herzegovina does not recognize the self-proclaimed ‘Kosovo.’ If they wanted to socialize, they should have gone to one of Sarajevo's cafés, not used the premises of our shared institutions,” Cvijanovic remarked.
She reiterated that private visits have no place within official institutions.
Milorad Dodik, the President of the Republika Srpska (RS) entity, also criticized the visit, claiming it was a misuse of state institutions and reaffirming that BiH has not and will never recognize Kosovo.
The criticism followed Kurti's meetings with Komsic and Becirovic at the Presidency building earlier in the day. The Kosovo Prime Minister later held discussions with representatives of the Federation (FBiH) entity government, followed by a meeting at the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is also scheduled to deliver a speech at Sarajevo's City Hall, invited by the Association of Independent Intellectuals “Krug 99.”
