The denial and relativization of genocide, the glorification of war criminals and the lack of respect for the victims of genocide and crimes against humanity will never have a place in Montenegro, said President Milo Djukanovic.
On the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and the Prevention of this Crime, he said that Montenegro would continue to develop a culture of peace, tolerance, intercultural and interreligious dialogue.
“Montenegro will continue to develop a culture of peace, tolerance, intercultural and interreligious dialogue by improving the quality of education, working with young people, strengthening democratic institutions and adopting and applying the highest democratic values,” Djukanovic said on Twitter.
Negacija i relativizacija zločina genocida, glorifikacija ratnih zločinaca i odsustvo poštovanja žrtava zločina genocida i zločina protiv čovječnosti nikada neće imati svoj prostor u tradicionalno multietničkoj i modernoj evropskoj Crnoj Gori.

He added the state would continue to strengthen the society's resistance to violence, xenophobia and all forms of discrimination.
“The denial and relativization of the crime of genocide, the glorification of war criminals and the lack of respect for the victims of genocide and crimes against humanity will never have their place in the traditionally multiethnic and modern European Montenegro,” Djukanovic concluded.
