The President of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity Milorad Dodik welcomed the President of the Serbian Boxing Federation (BSS) Nenad Borovcanin in Banja Luka, where they discussed the strengthening of cooperation between BSS and the RS Boxing Federation and agreed for boxers from the RS with both Bosnian and Serbian citizenships to box for the BSS.

“I spoke with the BSS President, Nenad Borovcanin, about the need to further strengthen the cooperation between our two boxing federations and the integration of the boxing leagues of Serbia and the RS. The assistance provided by the BSS for the development of boxing in the RS is of great importance, and I’m happy that this cooperation will be even better and more concrete in the coming period. I thanked Nenad for the enormous support and contribution of the BSS to the affirmation and popularization of boxing in the RS and stressed my full support to the activities they carry out,” RS President Milorad Dodik said.

“Boxing in Serbia is going through a new era of renaissance and a return to the paths of success that were recorded in these areas several decades ago. The goal of boxing champions in the RS is to join Serbia on this path and to jointly raise this sport to the level it deserves, which is the creation of world-class champions. We have the opportunity to help the development of boxing in the RS through joint preparations, personnel training, development of experts, simultaneous participation of boxers in national teams, but also the organization of competitions in the RS as well,” said BSS President Nenad Borovcanin.
