Republika Srpska entity President Milorad Dodik announced that he will visit the President of Russia in October, where the President of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minikhanov, is supposed to sign a cooperation agreement with him.
“That cooperation agreement could be signed in October as part of my visit to the Russian Federation,” Dodik wrote on the X social network, stating that he spoke with Minihanov, along with members of the BiH Presidency Zeljko Cvijanovic, today during his visit to Budapest.
He added that it is difficult to find a consensus in Bosnia on Russian sanctions, stressing that the politicians from the RS do not allow it.
“The RS will remain persistent in preventing the introduction of sanctions against Russia because Russia and its peoples are our friends,” said Dodik.
Dodik and Cvijanovic visited Hungary over the weekend at the invitation of Bishop Lukijan and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
