BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik said that Bosnia’s Ambassador to the UN, Sven Alkalaj, decided to join the EU Statement on the Ukraine crisis on behalf of BiH without authorization.
“His action is null and void,” he told the SRNA news agency, adding that it should be considered that BiH did not join the EU statement.

The EU statement strongly condemns the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin to recognize the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Ukraine as independent republics and the decision to send Russian troops to these areas.
Dodik announced that the responsibility of the ambassador will be considered at a later time.
“BiH is neutral in the Russia-Ukraine crisis, i.e. the armed conflict, since the Presidency has not decided otherwise,” Dodik said.
