The President of Bosnia's Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Milorad Dodik, announced on Thursday, on the occasion of the anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, that a few days ago Serbs paid dignified honour to the Serbian victims in Podrinje and that Bosniaks today remember the victims of their people and pay their respects.
“I want to address the general public and invite everyone to commemorate this day in peace and dignity. As I expressed my regret for the Serbs who died, I express my condolences to the families of the Bosniaks who died. Regardless of our differences, we must show respect for the pain and suffering that has befallen many people of all nations and religions in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he wrote.
He called on all citizens to spend the day in an atmosphere of peace, to avoid any provocations and to behave responsibly and respectfully.
“Let our attitude towards this day show that we are committed to peace, stability and a better future for all people in Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Dodik announced.
