"Jasenovac is the largest underground city that Serbs have," said the President of the Republika Srpska (RS) entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, on Memorial Day for the victims of Ustasha crimes in the Independent State of Croatia (NDH) against Serbs, Jews, and Roma from 1941 to 1945.

“They killed massively here, and that's why they said that this was a camp where everyone could fit,” Dodik said.

Dodik stated in Donja Gradina that “this place is sacred because it was made by our martyrs, 700,000 of them who were cruelly killed here in 57 ways that are synonymous with torture.”

He added that this city was elevated “on the suffering and sighs of 700,000 victims, of which 500,000 were Serbs.”

“We are here again to pray for their souls. And to tell them that we have not forgotten the evil and that we know what the Independent State of Croatia was. That we know about the plans they carried out or wanted to carry out. And that was to kill one-third, resettle one-third, and convert one-third to Catholicism. They succeeded in that, they did not stop,” Dodik emphasized.
