The President of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik once again denied the genocide in Bosnia while speaking about the political situation in BiH, but also to the relationship with Bakir Izetbegovic, the leader of the Democratic Action Party (SDA).
“The political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is unstable, especially concerning the Federation (FBiH) area. The FBiH Government has not yet been formed. On the other hand, joint bodies of institutions at the BiH level were formed. They have yet to demonstrate the ability to make competent decisions. We are still of the same opinion, that the priority is to place the investment works coming from the RS on the list,” Dodik said.
When asked to comment on Bakir Izetbegovic's latest statement, where he called the RS a genocidal creation, Dodik said:
“A cretin, how could he say such a thing. I am not accused of any genocide. I won the elections 12 times in a row. The fact that he doesn't like it and that he is bitter about his position is his business. Also, while we tried to create a joint approach at the BiH level, we didn’t succeed because they have secrets and dark intentions. They instructed the Intelligence Service, which was supposed to completely devolve Serb and Croat access to the authorities in BiH, through bribery and in order to make decisions exclusively for the purpose of the SDA. Bakir Izetbegović was eliminated precisely because of this, and when I said earlier that we will decide who will be in power, that is exactly what happened. We didn't want him. Although, his international friends were moaning that we should take the SDA. He is a political loser and I have no intention of arguing with him.”
After this, he denied that genocide took place in Srebrenica despite numerous international court decisions and war criminals who served time for what they did in July of 1995.
When it comes to the political situation in BiH, Dodik said that he is by no means satisfied and that it is much worse than before.
In his speech, he referred to the Property Law saying that they have a proposal.
“The issue of state property will not be discussed from our side. We have only one proposal to draw up a contract between the RS and the FBiH in which it will be stated that the property belonging to the territory of one or the other entity belongs to those entities. And let's end the matter that way. Anything else is unacceptable. We only want to act in accordance with the law and the Constitution. We will accept what is written in the Constitution that it is the jurisdiction of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and what is not written [in the Constitution] is unacceptable to us,” said Dodik.
