Bosnian Serb Presidency member Milorad Dodik rejected the 1.8 million Bosnian mark (some €920,000) cross-border cooperation agreement between Bosnia and Serbia, during Thursday’s session, along with all other items on the session agenda, Bosniak Presidency member Sefik Dzaferovic told the press after the session.

“The agenda consisted of items from the minutes of appointments, ambassadors’ credentials, and conclusions of several international agreements. One was related to the Armed Forces, a request from local authorities in East Ilidza to help with the bridge construction. And if we wish to speak that language, he (Dodik) also voted against the interests of people living in the Republika Srpska (RS) entity,” stated Dzaferovic.

Dodik voted against the Agreement on Financing the Serbia-BiH Cross-Border Cooperation Activity Program for 2020 between the European Commission, the Government of the Republic of Serbia and BiH.

This means that 1.8 million Bosnian marks for cross-border cooperation were lost.

The BiH Council of Ministers previously pointed out that the program covered 67 municipalities in BiH and 31 municipalities in Serbia. The program goal was to promote socio-economic development in the border region of the two countries.
