The newly elected President of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity said after the official pronunciation of election results Thursday that RS residents showed that the RS is a democratic society with high standards. “I hope the time for elections and this saga has passed," Dodik said.

“I think we need to gather around the RS and its values because we are facing difficult and challenging times, not here but at the global and regional level, which will affect the opportunities in the RS. My primary goal is RS and its interest. I got the support of the people. I'm glad we were responsible on election night and I'm proud of the associates for not succumbing to the euphoria that others did. The people made their choice and I am glad that they confirmed it at the meeting in Banja Luka. The atmosphere is something that encourages and gives me new energy and strength. What was presented as the ‘Assembly of the People's Assembly,’ I want to place at the top of my priorities. As the President of the RS, I will try to be a president to everyone. I call on all political factors for stability, peace, understanding, the ability to understand what is going on in the coming times and to get through these difficult times,” said Dodik in a short address.

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the report after the control count, Milorad Dodik won the highest number of votes for the President of the RS.
