Milorad Dodik, newly elected President of Bosnia's Serb-dominated entity Republika Srpska, told Russian ambassador in Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Kalabukhov that the entity government will be formed as soon as possible, following the October 2 vote, but that it is hard to say when is it going to happen with the government at the state level.

“I informed the ambassador that all important projects for Republika Srpska, including the matter of gas pipeline construction which is of exceptional importance for Republika Srpska, are being blocked in Sarajevo,” Dodik wrote on his Twitter.

According to him, he and the Russian diplomat also spoke about further improvement of “our bilateral relations” as well as the strengthening of cooperation in the sectors of economy, culture, and education, in order to further enhance “our brotherly and friendly relations.”

“A friendly talk with Russian ambassador Igor Kalabukhov. I thanked him for congratulating me on the election victory. This was an opportunity to exchange opinions on current political developments,” Dodik wrote.
