Dodik threatens withdrawal from Dayton Agreement following Israel visit

"We must stop all processes leading toward the centralization of Bosnia and Herzegovina because we do not want to go there. We want self-determination. We will have to think, and I call on the people of RS to think and for us to gather, both the authorities and the opposition, to exit the Dayton Agreement and return to the status of RS as it existed before the signing of Dayton," Dodik stated.

He further claimed that the agreement is no longer functional, asserting, "The story of the Dayton Agreement has failed, and they are aware of that. It is also clear to Israel that the Dayton Agreement no longer exists."

During his address, Dodik criticized the opposition in the RS and called on Serbs to oppose the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He expressed disappointment with political rivals, stating that Democratic Action Party (SDA) leader Bakir Izetbegovic’s vision for the country would never be realized because "such a BiH will not exist for a long time."

Dodik also announced that he will travel to the United States between Monday and Tuesday, returning on the Saturday before the elections. He noted that incumbent US President Donald Trump’s administration remains a focal point of geopolitical shifts.

Regarding financial pressures and local administration, Dodik alleged that "Muslim arrogance in Sarajevo" has created formal hurdles. "They managed to deny funds to the SNSD. We must oppose Sarajevo and the Court and move toward independence. If Greenland has the right to self-determination, so does Republika Srpska. We have enemies in Sarajevo. We must stop certain processes," Dodik concluded.
