"The young man in the Golf, carried by the water, almost perished before our eyes! He barely managed to get out with our help, while the car remained submerged," a local resident told Nezavisne daily. The witness described a scene of desperation as water reached the doorsteps of nearby homes just as the vehicle was overtaken by the force of the flood.

According to residents, this dangerous scenario repeats annually without intervention from local authorities. "The city administration does not react to our problem. We call them in vain to send pumps or an excavator to dig drainage," one resident stated, expressing frustration over the lack of assistance despite multiple pleas for help.

The gravity of the situation is underscored by the narrow escape of the driver, who survived only through the immediate intervention of neighbors. As night approaches and rainfall continues, locals remain in a state of high alert, fearing that water will soon enter their homes. They report that despite the severity of the event, no official rescue or municipal teams have arrived to provide aid.
