BiH Presidency Chairman Sefik Dzaferovic met with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti on the sidelines of the Delphi Economic Forum in Greece, on Thursday, where they discussed the current situation in the Western Balkans region, with an emphasis on the implications of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
The two stressed that the future of the Western Balkans region is in Euro-Atlantic integration.
Dzaferovic said that not all actors in Bosnia and Herzegovina agree on the recognition of Kosovo, but that this should not be a reason to prevent the improvement of cooperation between the citizens of Kosovo and BiH, as well as a higher level of communication between officials participating in multilateral regional platforms for a while, now.
the two agreed that it is necessary to improve the flow of people, goods, capital and services between Bosnia and Kosovo because the current visa and customs regime is the most rigid in Europe, which harms all people in Bosnia and Kosovo.
Support was expressed for the implementation of the Agreement on the Common Regional Market within the Berlin Process, which was signed by the countries of the Western Balkans at the summit of the European Union – Western Balkans in Sofia.
The meeting was also attended by Kosovo Foreign Minister Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz.
