No one has the right to glorify war criminals and deny atrocities because revisionism is hate speech and not freedom of speech, the Bosniak member of the tripartite BiH Presidency, Sefik Dzaferovic, said in his message marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
“We must never forget the terrifying industry of death organized by the Nazi regime guided by its dark ideas of racial superiority, blood and soil. The names of the criminals and their atrocities should be remembered only so the spread of their ideas is never be allowed again. No one has the right to glorify criminals, nor to deny the truth about crimes, because revisionism is hate speech, not freedom of speech,” Dzaferovic said.
“The voice of the surviving victims still reminds us of what happens when the dark shadow of evil hovers over humanity. The memory of the six million Jews killed is a terrible warning to humanity and a reminder of what happens when the world withdraws and gives in to regimes that are ready to commit genocide and extermination for their political goals,” he added.
