Police officers from the East Sarajevo Police Department have arrested a person on suspicion of attempted murder.

“Police officers from the East Sarajevo Police Department have taken into custody an individual with the initials D.P. from East New Sarajevo, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of Attempted Murder.

D.P. is suspected of, on June 2, 2024, at approximately 9:30 PM, in a hospitality establishment on Karadjordjeva Street, East New Sarajevo municipality, using a firearm – a pistol – to inflict life-threatening injuries on M.M. from East Ilidza.

After the criminal investigation, D.P. will be handed over to the prosecutor of the East Sarajevo District Public Prosecutor's Office for further proceedings,” the statement said.
