Bosnia handball national team was defeated by Sweden in its first appearance at the European Championship in Germany in front of more than 10,000 spectators.
The current champions defeated the Bosnians with result 29:20.
The opening ten minutes brought a slightly slower game and the Bosnia national team kept the Swedes scoreless for more than six minutes. However, they sped up the pace of the game and finished the first half with result 14:7.
The Bosnians had a great start of the second half, while the Swedish team, like in the beginning of the match, were with no score for nearly five minutes before Jonathan Carlsbogard scored a goal.
Swedes’ advantage varied from three to four goals throughout the second half until the last ten minutes when their performance declined.
The most efficient player among the Bosnians was Adin Faljic with 4 goals, followed by Marko Panic and Mirko Herceg, who scored three goals each.
Swedish goalkeeper Andreas Palicka excelled, defending from 12 goal attempts by the Bosnian team, while the most efficient player among the Swedes and of the match was Hampus Wanne with nine goals.
Bosnia national team will have The Netherlands as opponent in the next game on January 13.
