EUFOR vigilantly follows the security and political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and continues to closely monitor all activities that might impact the security situation, the EU military mission HQ told N1, noting that they have not observed or assessed any change to the security situation.

“Based on our mandate, EUFOR continues to proactively support our partners in the Bosnia and Herzegovina institutions in maintaining a safe and secure environment in this country,” the mission said and added that EUFOR is a “reliable partner of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

It was also emphasised that the mission continues to liaise with local authorities in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, maintaining the contact with local communities through the network of Liaison and Observation Teams.

“EUFOR shows an agile presence across the whole country and will conduct routine patrols all over Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to reassure all communities of our presence and enhance our situational awareness,” it stressed.
