“The European Union is and will consistently remain the most loyal and reliable partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the statement read. “We are by a considerable margin the largest investor in the country, providing significant support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s future in the EU.”
The European Delegation in the country emphasised that attacks on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and constitutional order are “unacceptable,” adding that there can be “no negotiations” on these principles.
Responding to recent allegations that the EU is exerting influence over judicial processes in the country, the Union said such claims are “completely false” and run counter to its core values. “The rule of law and judicial independence are fundamental principles for the EU,” the statement stressed.

While reaffirming its commitment to freedom of expression, the EU warned that “unfounded accusations and speculative attacks” are not only inaccurate but also damaging. “They harm trust and mislead the public. We urge citizens not to be swayed by misinformation,” the statement added.
The EU also reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and integrity in all of its work in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“The EU path is the best guarantee of prosperity, stability, functional democratic institutions and rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the statement concluded, calling on political leaders in the country to focus on reforms and progress that benefit all citizens.
