In response to the recent flooding in Bosnia and Herzegovina, EUFOR has reaffirmed its commitment to assisting the affected communities and local authorities. Following a formal request from the Civil Protection Agency (CPA) of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, EUFOR has outlined its plans to provide logistical support to help mitigate the impact of the floods.
EUFOR will use its logistical resources to assist authorities in delivering essential goods and equipment to areas affected by the flooding, as well as facilitating the safe transportation of people from these locations. This aid will be coordinated with the CPA and the European Emergency Response Centre to ensure effective support for those in need.
Additionally, EUFOR is prepared to deploy specialized teams to manage any mines or unexploded ordnance that may have been displaced by the floodwaters, addressing potential safety hazards in the affected regions.
Throughout the ongoing crisis, EUFOR has committed to maintaining its operational readiness, ensuring continuous collaboration with local partners to support the provision of a safe and secure environment during the relief efforts.
