The world is seeing what is going on in Ukraine – a war waged by an aggressor, by Russia, European Union ambassador in Bosnia and Herzegovina Johann Sattler said in response to the Ambassador of Russia, who left a ceremony in the northern Brcko District on Tuesday prompted by, what he called, “unacceptable and provocative formulations” during Sattler's speech.

“Walking away from an event because your actions were called out isn't going to change that,” Sattler told Russian ambassador Igor Kalabukhov.

“The world is seeing what's going on in Ukraine for what it is. A war waged by an aggressor, by a perpetrator, by Russia. Lies and misinformation won't change that,” he added.

Speaking at the event, Sattler touched upon the Russian invasion of Ukraine after which Kalabukhov demonstratively left the ceremony.

According to the post on the Facebook page of the Russian Embassy, Kalabukhov was “forced to leave the event” in Brcko, the anniversary of the proclamation of the Brcko District due to the Sattler's statements made in “unacceptable and provocative formulations that had nothing to do with the mentioned topic.”
