The evacuation of all BiH citizens who have expressed a desire to leave Ukraine has been initiated. Details cannot be made public, but some of them went by land towards the border, international organizations, embassies and the BiH Mission to the OSCE have all been included in the operation, Tarik Lazovic, the advisor to the BiH Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic, told N1 Saturday.

Unlike the first days of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, when there were not so many calls, now Bosnia and Herzegovina’s diplomatic network records an increasing number of citizens calling, almost hourly, begging for help.
“In the first few days, citizens usually followed the situation, and then started talking. Our Crisis Staff and competent embassies are active 24 hours a day and we are trying to keep in touch with them and keep them informed about which convoys may eventually leave the Ukrainian territory,” Lazovic told N1.
