Authorities stated that the bomb was not thrown directly at the complex but was placed nearby. The identity of the perpetrator remains unknown.

“In addition to the detonated device, another unexploded explosive device was found near the site. Civil Protection representatives along with the police, will be deployed today to deactivate it,” Stokanovic said.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and it remains unclear whether or to what extent the explosion caused material damage to the Sunnyland complex.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.

Sunnyland is Bosnia and Herzegovina’s first amusement park featuring an Alpine Coaster. It is located near Sarajevo on the Olympic mountain Trebevic and is a popular family attraction that includes a restaurant, play areas, and walking trails.

In 2022, a bomb threat was reported at the complex, but it was later confirmed to be a false alarm.
