FBiH Minister of Energy, Mining, and Industry Vedran Lakic said that since efforts began to save these companies from bankruptcy and complete shutdown, the sector has reached a stage of new employment, valuable contracts, and significantly higher profits.
“Most companies are operating stably today, but we still encounter obstacles that can’t be resolved until we determine their cause. The extraordinary audit is a step that will allow us to uncover what has so far remained hidden: irregularities, omissions, and possible abuses by both previous and current management. No one will be exempt or protected,” Lakic stressed.
He noted that the government’s goal is to further develop the sector, but that such development must be built on solid foundations, foundations that imply truth, accountability, and the readiness to confront all challenges.
