FBiH Govt. presents special award to Edin Dzeko for outstanding contribution to BiH sports

The FBiH Government’s certificate of appreciation was created in the form of a unique, hand-carved wooden soccer ball, symbolizing gratitude for everything Dzeko has given to Bosnian-Herzegovinian sports and generations of fans. It is a work by the renowned woodcarving workshop “Rukotvorine” from Konjic.

Prime Minister Niksic thanked Dzeko for his years of professional commitment, for representing Bosnia and Herzegovina with dignity and for the indelible mark he has left on the history of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Former captain and current director of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team Emir Spahic thanked the entire FBiH Government, and Prime Minister Niksic in particular, for its continued support, which, he stressed, has never been lacking, especially during the most difficult moments.

Captain Dzeko will officially end his international career tonight in Zenica, in the match between the Bosnia and Sweden national teams.
