FBiH police discover 177 cannabis plants near Grabovica, arrest two suspects

The operation was carried out as part of continuing efforts to combat illegal drug production and trafficking, the Federation Police Administration said.

According to the FUP, the operation was conducted under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and followed planned investigative and operational activities aimed at detecting and documenting drug-related criminal offences.

Police officers monitoring the location encountered two people, identified by their initials as E.B., born in 1974, and S.O., born in 1987.

According to the police statement, the two suspects approached the plantation with the intention of tending to it.

They were subsequently arrested.

During the operation, officers discovered a total of 177 plants identified as Cannabis sativa L.

The Federation Police Administration said its officers would continue investigative activities related to the case as part of broader efforts to combat illegal narcotics.

Further details about the suspects, including whether prosecutors will seek detention measures or what specific criminal offences they may face, were not immediately provided.

The investigation is continuing under the supervision of the competent cantonal prosecutor’s office.
