The director of the Railways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), Enis Dzafic, was dismissed during an emergency session of the FBiH Government held Wednesday, N1 learned. The decision was made unanimously.
On Tuesday, the FBiH Government reviewed reports from the Ministry of Transport and Communications regarding measures taken by the FBiH Roads and Railways authorities to restore road and rail traffic.
The government adopted the Ministry's updated plans for addressing damages and regulating transportation. Additionally, it tasked the Ministry of Transport and Communications with preparing a proposal for Dtafic's dismissal and the interim appointment of a new management team for the state-owned FBiH Railways by today's session.
While road traffic was restored on October 16, rail traffic remains suspended, with no clear timeline for its resumption.
Dzafic's removal had been demanded by Edin Forto, the official who initially appointed him to the position.
