
In December 2024, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded a total of 78,027 tourist arrivals, marking a 1.3% increase compared to December 2023 but a 12.6% decline from November 2024.
Domestic visitors accounted for 40.3% of total arrivals, while international tourists made up the remaining 59.7%.
The total number of overnight stays during the month reached 146,254, reflecting a 2.5% rise year-over-year but an 11.4% drop compared to the previous month. Domestic tourists contributed 36.1% of overnight stays, while foreign visitors accounted for 63.9%.
Hotels and similar accommodations remained the primary choice for tourists, comprising 95.4% of all overnight stays, according to data from the FBiH Statistics Agency.
Among international visitors, the highest number of overnight stays was recorded by tourists from Croatia (23.5%), followed by Turkey (10%), Serbia (7.3%), Slovenia (5.7%), and Germany (5.6%). Collectively, these five countries accounted for 52.1% of all foreign overnight stays, while tourists from other nations made up the remaining 47.9%.
In December 2024, the total number of available beds in the Federation of BiH reached 29,209, representing a 5.1% increase compared to December 2023. The net bed occupancy rate for hotels and similar accommodations stood at 17.7%.
